Yes, with my first birth (about 3 years ago), the doc hit my nerve right at the spine when giving the epideral, and I have had pain since. I am told by my back specialst that it is perminant damage, and have been doing physio exercises to help since. It is definately possible that they have hit the nerve. It was very painful and still flairs up pretty bad. I would suggest getting your doctor to send you to someone who specializes in back pain. They could tell you more.
Yes, some people have back pain after getting an epidural. It can last a few weeks, or can be permanent back pain. You signed paperwork before you got an epidural saying you understood backpain was a possibility.
As always, you should consult your Dr.
But I have heard of women experiencing pain or a bruising sensation where their epidural is, even years after their birth, they can feel the spot where the epi was. As long as it is not a debilitating pain or a pain so bad you cant talk through it, then it is probably normal.
yes i had back pain with my first epidural and i think it lasted for like a year it gets worse when you go back to work! especially if u have to stand for a long period of time!
An epidural can result in some issues you should contact your doctor
