What do you usually score when you play in the course?
Very doubtful you should have started when you were younger also if you want to become good you have to go out on the course everyday to get the real feel of golf. Also if you don't have a handicap under at least 15 then forget it, I know you won't be the next Tiger but Tiger was playing off 2 at 11 and he was off scratch when he was 13. Another interesting fact is that his first hole in one was when he was 6 and he has been playing since he was 2 amazing man. Sorry for the reality check but you need to practice so much more if you want to be a pro in the tour.
Yes, if you practice hard and play an excellent game. Practice isn't enough, you have to have skill, too, so working on skill is important for you to do, right away.
Ways to get more experience at golf include taking lessons and getting a job at the golf course. Many golf courses have special rates for teens i.e. memberships during off-hours and off-season. Ask your parents if you could get one.
Also take advantage of your high school gym, take as many courses as you can get in physical fitness and use the gym after school to build your arm, leg, shoulder, wrist and stomach strength (they're all used in the game). Find out if your high school has a golf team and join it.
You need a place to chip and putt, too. Many think having a powerful drive is enough, but the game is won on the green, so if you can get to the golf course really often, be sure to spend as much time practicing sand chips, chips and putting.
Sign up to get a handicap. When your score drops to par for eighteen holes, start to play amateur tournaments.
Pay attention to the pro golf association, amateur golf association and to your state golf association (see the links below). I put the link for the Florida Golf Association, most states have their own.
You need to be good...Just because you play every two weeks does not mean you will become pro. you have to be good. I know nothing about golf, but i dont think playing once every two weeks is enough. You need to get out there as much as you can, practice as much as you can and be better than other people your age that also want to become pro. You CAN become a pro golfer IF you put in the time and effort. Dont let people crush your dreams by telling you no. If they tell you know, work twice as hard and prove them wrong. Summary: If you put in the effort, become good, and win competition and stuff then yes, you COULD, if you don't put in the time or effort, then no, you dont have a chance.
You need to practice and work out EFFICIENTLY. Don't just wack balls in the ranger or hit putts. You have to do drills to work on your stroke and swing.
You have to be special.but with that being said hard work always pays off
