I'm an 18 year old female---i weigh 195 and i'm 5'5...i'm starting to do insanity ( cardio and abs) three times a week which is about 35 minutes per workout...im also drinking two healthy shakes per day and one healthy meal--mainly chicken breast salad -- and i'm having carrot sticks for snacks....How much weight can i reasonably lose by year end? How long will it reasonably take to lose 70 pounds???

Realistically, you'll probably lose 10-15 lbs in 2 weeks, get sick of drinking shakes to replace meals and being hungry all the time, give up, and gain it all back.
I would try to aim for eating 1300-1500 calories a day, and try new and creative ways to eat. You want to try to develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime - otherwise, you will return to old habits, and regain the weight.
Healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week, so it should take about 35-70 weeks.
fresh herbs can really zing up a healthy meal try growing some in the kitchen using a strawberry pot preserve the flavor by adding fresh herbs at the end of the cooking process
try an open face sandwich instead one with two slices of bread
