Hi8 is analog. You need to get an "analog/digital bridge" (Pinnacle Dazzle or Canopus converters). Import the video to your computer, then us a DVD authoring application like WinDVD to burn a DVD that can be played back in a regular DVD player connected to a TV... Or you can use the DVD as a "data disc" and burn the video files like you would a word or powerpoint file... but that video will be playable only by a computer with a DVD drive.
