I have an older Hp computer with xp (late 2004) Specs are:
intel pentium 4 3.00Ghz
1GB ram, could make it 2
and I would also ad in this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
with this would I be able to run COD 4, Unreal, maybe Crysis? If so what settings?
serious answers please, just curious if I can do this or if it's comepletely neccessary to build a new comp, thanks!
Update:wow bon-gart, you've got quite an attitude, assuming things, really putting yourself out there. Yes I did go to Google and search the requirements. I'm also, unlike you, aware that there are various exceptions and combinations that a few words might not show me. Thanks for nothing, top contributor my ***.

I run a 3.2Ghz with 2GB ram and an NVIDIA 6600 I play CoD 4 MW, WoW, Neverwinter Nights 2, and warhammer online with no issues. Crysis is a MONSTER of a game that is hard to run on any single core system.
Yeah it'll work. CPU isn't THAT important for games, but it will bottleneck the video card a bit. And yes...with that video card you'll get by on Crysis on med-low settings with decent FPS. COD4 isn't demanding and should run with most things turned all the way up
low. p4 just can't compute fast enough. fsb is terrible. vid card is better than mine. 2gb of ram isn't bad though
