I'm looking at my system information now, and it says I need a 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent, but I don't think I do. I have a P6100 (whatever that is. It's something. I'm not that great with computers. If you hadn't noticed.) but I have 2.0 GHz.
I think I'm in denial that I might not be able to run it.
Update:Even though it's Vista?
Update 3:Thanks for all the help guys; I hope it is!

Its simple:
You have: Intel® Pentium® Processor P6100 (3M Cache, 2.00 GHz)
and thats enough for sims 3!
Just check the system requirements for The Sims 3.
If you are running XP 2.0 Ghz meets the minimum requirement

Try the online demo

I am trying it myself but can't tell if its actually installing . . . . still won't load I guess its too busy or not available right now.
But The description of your processor says it is equal to or better than a similar clocked core 2 duo, so it's probably enough for sims 3.
If your computer is running maybe you should go catch it.
