I am thinking of becoming a paramedic, I absolutely want to ride motorcycles as well, i plan to do my cbt at 17, but wait till i am in uni to start riding bikes, i will either start on a 125cc, or wait till I'm 21 and start on a higher cc. but getting to the question, do they have bike riders in the ambulance service? and if they do how can you become a bike riding paramedic? cheers for any answers!

In UK, the ambulance service uses Bike paramedics as first responders as they can sometimes get to the scene of the incident before the ambulance. Get yourself a bike and some road experience and continue to pursue your education with medical training in mind. you will need both but they may not take you on as a bike paramedic until you're 25 as the insurance will be very expensive but you should be able to switch from ambulances to bikes when the time is right
Good luck!
There are a few cities around the United States that do have EMTs on motorcycles but they are only dispatched when there is a major traffic problem and an ambulance will be delayed to arrive in a reasonable time.
The medics only carry enough equipment to do advanced first aid, such as breathing tubes, neck braces and such.
There are no roving EMT services that I know about they are dispatched from the station house just the same as an ambulance would be.
I'm a retired Firefighter/EMT. the motor-service system was put into affect after I left but talking with my old buddies they say the service is handy but since it isn't used too much they wonder if it's worth the cost.
After I stopped racing dirt-bikes, because of business contracts, I volunteered as an EMT Sweep-rider for a few different racing clubs. I would follow the riders around the track, if there was an accident I was usually no more than a minute away to provide my services. Had a great time doing that for 15 years.
There are 'bicycle paramedics' that often tour public events to administer first aid. A noisy, smelly, two stroke dirt bike has no place at those types of functions.
My mother has been a paramedic for 25 years and calls motorcycle riders 'organ donors' from the large number she has picked up off the roads over the years. I do not know of too many paramedics who are riders.
they usually ride around in ambulances
...it's kind of hard if the patient has to go to the hospital ??
