I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!
It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!
it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it
1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_d...
It can convert any video file.. like avi, divx, xvid, mov, mkv, flv ,youtube, mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg-, nsv, dvr-ms, tivo, ts, ifo, vob, asf, wmv, realmedia, rm, rmvb, ogm,
2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle
3. Insert blank DVD
4. Click "Convert"
5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)
ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,
for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.
Also, you can search some other software:
http://search.yahoo.com/
http://www.google.com/
You need a Video editor to achieve that. Try importing your footage from the file where it is located into the video editing software. If the software does not recognize your video (sometimes you hear only the sound), you have to use a codec (video converter) in order to convert the camera's video format (usually MPEG-1) to the format of your editor uses (see Help button in there).
Try dowloading codecs here:

Or type VIDEO CODECS on your Search engine
You can try ConvertXtoDVD, it is easy to convert and burn all your videos and convert AVI to DVD! Backup and transfer your movies to DVD and enjoy watching them on any home DVD player. This award-winning DivX to DVD video converter software supports most video and audio formats for video conversion (avi, mpg, mov, wmv, mkv, ogm and more) and even handles DVD to DVD copy! It automatically makes DVD menus and chapters, handles advanced subtitle support (SSA, SRT, SUB/IDX) and lets you choose between 4/3 and 16/9.
