Sorta...port noise is usually caused by sharp ridges on the port or the port being too narrow. If there are sharp ridges/edges on the port then you could file them down and that MIGHT fix the problem. If the port is too narrow then you need a wider port...it is usually possible to replace the port with a wider one if it is a tubular PVC port (which would need to be longer as well) but it is a PITA...if it is a slot port then it is a MAJOR PITA and may not even be possible.
