They grow orchards of them in inland Australia so the heat will not be a problem. The cold may beat you though if you don't have a lot of shelter from buildings etc. You have to cover them etc where I live and it only gets down to 40 deg F and sometimes they still die. Once they get a bit mature and have a thick trunk 40 deg F doesn't worry them.
If you are in town and have lots of shelter or a courtyard I'd give it a go. They like sun, lots of water, and lots of fertilizer.
