You can hook an acoustic electric guitar up to an amplifier (an acoustic amplifier sounds best) or if you've got a guitar that is just plain acoustic there are a variety of pickups you can buy that sit in the sound hole of your guitar, the downside is that to install most of these means drilling into your guitar for the jack. If you haven't got an acoustic electric and option 2 is out of the question because "i just totally love that guitar, man" what you can also do to amplify your sound is simply set up a microphone in front of your guitar while you play and run it to your pa system or acoustic amp.
You can, provided the guitar has some form of pickup. Some acoustics (known as electro-acoustics) come with pickups built in. You can also buy pickups that can be installed with or without modifying the guitar.
Just don't expect to use a ton of effects - many of them will cause immense feedback on an acoustic.
yup! but some acoustic guitar don't have amplifier what do you call that...but yes, most acoustice guitar can be "plugged in" if that's what you mean, mine can. :))
