Hi all,
Just bought one but would like to upgrade if possible. Currently have a quad core i-72630QM processor with a 1GB GDDR5 Radeon(TM) HD 6850M Graphics [HDMI] card. Would like to swap the graphics card for a Radeon HD 6970M or a 6990M. I know this is possible for some laptops.
Let me know if you have the info! Thanks for reading.
Update:thanks for the answer.....but....
I want to play Deus Human Revolution! So i need a 6970M at least. I know that the Alienware laptops which are comparable (most have the same or simmiliar quad i7 processors) but their graphics cards are SWAPPABLE. And so are some Dells. So the general statement/beliefs that it is not possible with laptops IS NOT TRUE. If someone know the details of this model, please help.

You already have the best graphics card that HP is offering for the Envy 17
There's simply no way you can exceed that
Remember this is a laptop and your choice is restricted to what your laptop manufacturer has to offer
& not what the market has to offer, as would be the case with desktops
