Recently, I went to the hospital emergency room with an ear infection .I was given a medication to use that gave me a severe chemical burn, it has permanently disfigured my right ear can I sue?
No , you can't sue the hospital. M y mom was about 91 0r 92 when she fell & broke her elbow in the hospital. My sister & I told them to put an alarm on her bed & they didn't. Also my husband told my mom not to try & get up if she needed to potty, She tried to get out of the bed & broke her elbow. I had a case to sue but no one wanted to take the job when they found out it was the hospital.
If it can be proven that the medication caused it and that there was possible negligence involved, you can sue. Also, do you have any drug allergies that you didn't tell them about? If so, it can be argued that you were at fault for not giving all appropriate info they needed.
Its possible to sue anyone who is wrong provided you have evidence in black and white to prove them wrong. No verbal evidence would serve any purpose as it warrants physical evidence of facts stated, plus whether you were subjected to any other methods before going to the said hospital, called circumvential evidence!!
Sure you can, if you have a good case and cause against the physician that treated you and the care you received there. Consult a lawyer and explain your case to him. They can really determine if you have a case against the hospital. Sorry about your care. Good luck.
Why don't you just go and talk to an attorney that specializes in medical malpractice and injuries. A lot of them don't even charge a consultation fee, and won't bill you at all unless you win your case.
