Disconnecting the battery for more than a few minutes will cause the codes to be lost. It will also cause the computer to have to relearn a number of settings. An auto parts store actually sells a 'computer saver' that can be connected to preserve the settings when the battery must be removed.
If you are trying to reset the codes, you need to FIX whatever set them.

y just erase them its free at autozone and if u are so concerned write them down and see if they come back if they do u have some fixin to doo......
