I'm planning to watch this parody show soon. But...do I need to watch both Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime in order to understand what's going on in the episodes? I only watched Fate/Stay Night, so would I only understand the portion of the show that has characters from Fate/Stay Night? Or it doesn't matter????? Can anyone tell me please?. When first started I had no idea who the F/S/N characters were, only the Tsukihime/Metly Blood(Arcade game) characters. So I watch the whole Carnival Phantasm series not knowing about F/S/N, I still enjoyed it. For me I would just watch this series then watch Tsukihime afterwards. That's what I did. I am now currently on Fate Zero season 2 newest eps
