I am planning a trip to West Virginia from Ohio which may involve going through Pennsylvania. I have a permit (License) from Ohio to carry concealed, not because I want to wear a pistol on my hip (except during riots ;-) but because I feel it is important to have one available when traveling far from home. It lives in the trunk (uh, a safe I installed in a minivan, since they don't have trunks). If I can't get to it from the drivers seat and tell the potential cop it's there, would I be violating any laws of PA or WV?
I think there's a Federal law in Title 18 about interstate transportation of firearms which says it has to be unloaded and not quite reachable from the drivers seat.
Any experts out there who can advise?
(just talking about a revolver here, nothing complicated)

The 2nd Amendment is my permit to
carry, concealed, or in the open.
I don't know bud but if a law may get me killed I'm not above ignoring it. They need to get this crap straightened out because they're creating outlaws unnecessarily.
I would call the state police in each state to be sure.
