It means you're at very high risk for heart disease and stroke. Any cholesterol reading over 240 is danger zone, and if they can't calcuate your triglycerides that's not good. Serum being "grossly hyperlipemic" means you have a super-high amount of lipids (cholesterol) in your blood. For your blood pressure, anything over 140/90 is considered high. You need to see your doctor so he/she can put you on meds for cholesterol and blood pressure. You'll also need to make lifestyle changes like getting more exercise and eating a more well-balanced diet that is low in trans fat and saturated fat. If you ignore this, your chances of having a heart attack or stroke are VERY high.
Hyperlipemic means that there is a high level of fats in the blood serum--seemigly too much to perform an accurate triglyceride test.
You will need to see your physician about the very high cholesterol. Most likely, the conditions, also the BP, are related.
hyperlipidemic means you have too much fat in your blood to even measure tryglicerides. You need to see a nutritionist and get off your fast food diet, and on to a low fat diet. Also start exercising. You are in great danger of having a heart attack if cholesteral is that high, and they can't even measure tryglicerides. If you're not already seeing a Dr for this, you need to asap, and start a diet/exerdise program under his/her supervision. They may even prescribe a cholesterol lowering drug.
Start eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies, switch to brown rice, no red meat period, eat chicken and fish instead of beef. More green leafy veggies, like salads, with low fat dressings.
Exercise: Start out taking brisk walks to build up tolerance, and lengthen as you get in better shape. You may want to join a gym.
Definately see a doctor, don't wait! Pizza, bad!!
Make an appointment with your physician.
