I obtained a cicada after a recent outburst of them in my town, and to preserve it I put it in Ethyl Alcohol 70%, and I put it in my freezer. What do you reccomend I do with it?
You will need to monitor the cicada because ethanol will affect the colour of the cicada in a way where the colour will slowly fade away. My advice for you is to replace the old alcohol with a fresh one every now and then. Try to ensure that you don't leave any of the old alcohol left behind when fully replaced.
I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to try Kahle’s solution, so maybe you can find and then contact an entomologist to assist you any further.
