Co signer on a car question?

So my grandmother flew out here a few months and co-signed on a car for me. I had 0 credit, she had decent credit. So we got the car and everything was fine until the last two months. My payments were a couple days late. My grandmother freaked out but whatever, I managed to pay them. However when we got the car we made it clear to the people at the dealership that the car belonged to -me- and not to my grandmother that she was there to co-sign only.

So then yesterday my father has a complete emotional break down and is freaking out about his girlfriend cheating on him. Says he wants to leave and move back in with my grandmother and needs a car to drive out to where she lives. (Very far from here) He said that if I didn't let him take it, my grandmother would call the police and say I stole it. And then my dad is also saying that since he pays for it (which he does right now, even though the payments are late..) that he can somehow go in a court and say it should be his car because he's paying for it. However he has been transferring his money into my bank account and the car has been payed every month since we got it through that account.

Can he do that?

And can my grandmother try to force my hand as the co-signer just because I had 2 late payments and haven't been able to pay my insurance for one month.

Am I going to lose my car?

Update:

I live in california, she lives in michigan.
