I just got back from studying in Buenos Aires for five months and headed back down in two weeks to travel, then university in one of these places. I'm looking at applying in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro with BA and Trujillo. Buenos Aires was amazing! Nightlife, food, people, but the women were not what I like, not in looks but "getting them", didn't like it. I'm going to Trujillo which is a large city in Northern Peru, amazing surf which is what's drawing me toward it cause I'm from LA and surf all the time but it has no nightlife, is much calmer and just might not fit. I feel like Sao Paulo and BA are quite close but I want to learn spanish and not portuguesa but it doesn't really matter. Then.....Rio. Sounds like an amzing city but people say it's more of a place to visit then go to college and that Sao Paulo is better, that it gets boring after a while in the area and it's not that safe outside or in it. If anyone could help me out, that'd be awesome.

I'm Peruvian, but personally I would pick São Paulo for two number of reasons:
- São Paulo hosts 2 of the Top 5 universities in Latin America: University of São Paulo and the State University of Campinas.
- São Paulo is the largest city in South America and the largest Metropolitan area in Latin America. As any major city, there's plenty of stuff to do and lots of things available. You just have to find it.
