1. Choose an entity (preferably listed in the stock market or total equity of more than Php20,000,000.00 with a five year financial statement).describe the chosen corporation(just the basic company profile)
2. Input using excel the balance sheet of the entity with 6 columns(column 1 for the entries, column 2 for recent year, column 3 for the next recent year and so on and so forth).
3. Be creative by expanding column 1 to multiple columns respecting the different entries of the balance sheet.
4. Compare each entry (in the different fiscal years) and analyze.

I have an free open-source EXCEL add-in that should allow you to do that. The add-in, documentation on its functions, and sample templates can be found in the files area of this Yahoo group:

You wouldn't need to "input" anything, but you would need to create formulas. However, the formulas can refer to a cell containing a ticker symbol, so if you change that cell, it gets the data for that ticker symbol instead.
For example:
=RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker, 303)
...would get the EBIT for the most recent fiscal year from the MSN web site. That is, if the named cell "Ticker" contained "MMM", the EBIT data would be retrieved from this web page:
