Where can I get a processor upgrade for my Compaq Presario CQ60, right now I have an Intel Celeron processor, so where can I get a new one, what kind is it, and how much will it cost me for the installation and processor??? Thanks!

Sorry to burst your bubbles, other aswerers, but the Compaq Presario CQ60 line does have an upgradeable processor. Some laptops solder the processors onto the board, yes, but in this case, they didn't.
It is kind of nerve-wracking though. It requires you to TOTALLY take apart your laptop. Instructions for that can be found here:

Finding a compatible processor with the board is a pain in the neck. Luckily, someone with more knowledge than me has solved the issue here [I would suggest reading the whole conversation. It's really helpful]:

So, this means the laptop is able to run the Intel Core 2 Duo T7xxx series of processors. This means it will work with the T7100, T7200, T7250, T7300, T7400, T7500, and so on. The higher the model number, the higher- end the processor is.
Since Core 2 Duo processors are dual-core, they will work better than a single-core processor like the celeron. Even if the clock speed is slower (i.e. a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo may be faster in practice than a 2.4Ghz Celeron). Keep in mind, as noted in the forum, you will have to update your motherboard's BIOS prior to the surgery. They gave you a link to HP's support page.
So try a Google Product search for some of the processor numbers to find where they're sold.

I have an intell celeron and it is lightning fast. Why upgrade? I answer people a lot by telling them, defrag, disc cleanup, run chkdsk /r, run chkdsk /f, and do not clogged you pc with junk like videos, games, pictures, and music. I still do this. My solution is having 10 different hard drives. One I use only for storing videos, the other music only, another pictures, another games. Also, if you have lots of this stuff on your pc, it cloggs up memory and hard drive space, not processor capabilities. If you like these things to stay on your pc, I also suggest buying extra memory boards. They are not as expensive as a new processor. Also, I burn most video, music, and photo and document files to a cd. I like Real Player for doing this. Then I erase each file from Real Player. Then it asks "Do you also want to erase it from your hard drive?" and I click yes I do. This keeps everything running fast. I'd rather have a library of my files on cds or dvds or data cds that I burn, and I rarely have any processor speed problems. Remeber, too much of what you like on any computer will eventually sloooow itttttttttttt waaaaaaaaaaay dddddooooooooowwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn.
It's probably better to just buy a better laptop. Considering it's a laptop, the processor is probably soldered onto the motherboard (although, i am not sure.)
The processor is made as part of the mother board and other hardware as well as the BIOs would have to be changed so you will find that it would be better and cheaper to just replace it with what you want already installed.
Can't change it in a laptop
