Compaq Presario CQ61 Problem?
So I'm having trouble with my laptop. It won't turn "fully" on. What I mean by that is the power and internet lights turn on, the fan starts running, but the screen stays blank. The Caps Lock and Num Lock icons are both blink twice, then rest a while, then blink twice again so on and so forth. I read that this has to do with the BIOS? What is that, and what can I do to fix it if that is the problem. Thanks!

You need to open your laptop by unscrewing the screws at the bottom and then unplug the CMOS battery (not that hard to find) from your mainboard for more than 10 seconds to reset CMOS/BIOS settings. That will most likely fix your problem. It's really easy to do, even a kid could do it.
