Here's the deal, I want to record HD video from a component video source, and since I have a MacBook, without Windows, I am hard pressed to find an HD capture card.
I found this on Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
I want to use a that video device to capture the component video from said video source, but the only input on the device is a coaxial video jack. Basically, I need a cable that can change my component video cables (YPbPr and Left/Right Audio) into a Coaxial Video plug. I also need the converted signal to be in a minimum of 720p HD (the source of video will be at 1080i).
Thanks in Advance for any help,
JTK
PS (If someone knows of an HD video capture device for Mac that uses either Firewire 400 or USB 2.0 interface, AND captures video from a component video source, please recommend the product to me, thanks!)

This is simply a TV tuner; that's why the input is simply RF.
For HDTV, they simply grab the already compressed bit stream from the ATSC signal. There is far morew ork involved if you really want to capture and compress component HD.
