I'm interested in HTML. I don't know too much about it, just that when I was younger I would mess around with very basic HMTL.
I know that I would need to know more than just HTML, but I'm not sure what else that is. I know there are other things like CSS, XTML, and Java script. CSS is the only one that I'm partially familiar with, but don't really know it that well.
I'm also not even sure what type of job I could get if I learn these things.
I could really use some help! :D
Update:I forgot to mention, I'm looking to go back to school to learn what I need to. That's why I'm trying to get an idea of what courses and stuff I would need to take.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript using JQuery, SQL, and PHP or one of the .NET languages. That is bare minimum of what you should know.
You don't need a degree to work for more than a mom and pop place. You just need to take an internship and demonstrate competence at the job. Huge companies may require a degree but a lot of places above a mom and pop place don't.
A web developer job with some mom and pop place. Nothing more. Knowing those languages isn't enough to call you a programmer. Without a real education I'd be weary of taking jobs that aren't simply static webpages.
