I use my monitor for my Xbox 360 and for my PC. Regardless of what I am using the monitor for, after 10 seconds of being on (it will show my Xbox screen or PC screen) for about 10 seconds, and then go black. The monitor power light remains green (turns orange when in standby mode). Any idea what the problem could be? If I turn it off and turn it back on, I can get another 10 seconds of display, and then black again.
I-Inc brand monitor - 25"
HDMI inputs for both Xbox and PC
Have owned this monitor maybe a year and a half
Update:@big, as stated, this is used for my PC and XBOX. Would therefore have nothing to do with my graphics card.

If your LCD display is turning itself off due to aging capacitors, an easy work around is to turn the brightness down! Brightness goes down, display draws less juice, and you can at least use it. As it warms up you should be able to gradually turn the brightness back up, although probably not all the way.
The process standards for walking games on Vista are higher than these on XP. You need a just right adequate RAM supply (at least 2GB or so) together with a stable video card to run them without show disorders.
