Ok. The thing is I was running the Windows 8, which probably doesn't have to do with anything, but it froze, so i had to shut my computer down. When i turned my computer back on, the LED would come on, but nothing else would power on (e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor). I got frustrated after a while and I dis-connected the power cable from my mother board, and made sure everything was in all the way and what not, and once i put the power supply back in, it wouldn't power up at all. The catch is, the LED on the back of the power box wouldn't turn on, but when i disconnected the power supply from the mother board, the LED would come on. Whats the issue?

Windows 8 hasnt been fully developed yet, so there will be kinks to work out, it might use the computer differently to others and might not run properly
When you forced the power off motherboard could be damaged. Now it's shorted and that's why this thing happens.
it sounds like a bad motherboard.
