I got a Dell Dimension 4600 desktop computer and the Ethernet drive is not installed, so I cannot connect it to the internet. All I need is the Ethernet drive installed, and from there I can plug in my modem and access the internet. Does anyone know how to get it installed?
Update:Yeah, I downloaded it onto my USB and plugged it into the computer but I need internet to install it, but I don't have internet on that computer.

What do you mean by the ethernet drive? If there is an ethernet port in the back of the computer (which is highly likely), I would assume you mean the driver. If so, go to the Dell website, and they should have a section where you can download drivers from something like the support section, or downloads section. If you do NOT have an ethernet port (very awkward), this means that you have to install an ethernet controller port in a PCI slot of the motherboard. This is very easy, as long as you have money to buy the add-on. First, unscrew an expansion slot, then fit the card into a PCI slot, which should be labeled(even if it isn't, there should be a slot that the card would fit into). Screw it into the chassis, and after installing drivers, you're ready to go.
Download the Ethernet drivers from Dell's website here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices....
It's the very bottom file (Intel-Driver). You can put it on a thumb drive or onto a CD and install it from there.
