Is it a wireless connection?

If it is then it could be:

1. The weather conditions in your area are intefering with the signal

2. The computer you are using is too far away from the router and so the signal is weak and keeps falling off

3. The channel that your router is set on has excessive traffic which is interfering with your connection.

4. Your router is defective.

5. The network card in your tower or any external adapter is defective.

You can access your router page by typing "home" into an Internet Explorer address bar, that will open up your router page, you should know the username and password as your ISP or the router manufacturer would have provided it to you. You can change various settings on your router to try to obtain a more stable connection, such as switching to a channel somewhere in the middle of your channel list, usually those ones have less traffic.

You can't do much about the weather, but if it's a distance issue then try moving the computer closer to wherever the router is and see if that helps. If it does then your problem is a strength issue and you may want to look at getting a router with a better range.

If none of those help then you'll need to look at defective equipment. Before you assume it's the equipment though, you should contact the manufacturer(s) for the router and/or any wireless adapter you have and get them to walk you through connecting, they'll be able to remotely test your equipment to ensure that there are no issues.

If after all that babble you actually have a hard-wired connection, then you should contact your ISP in order to resolve your connection issue. It could be the router or the ethernet cable you are using but it may also just be that your ISP is having issues for some reason, better to check it out before you start replacing stuff unnecessarily.

if its cable more often it losses its signal even when you are watching movies and if its telephone line maybe its faulty and should be check by your service provider.
