You need to identify if the fault is with your wireless receiver, or with the transmitter. If you are the only person on this network, try resetting the transmitter/router as a way of refreshing the signal, and check the activity lights on the router to see if it is receiving and broadcasting a signal.
If the router appears to be okay, the fault is likely to be either with your own wireless receiver, or the software on your pc.
Check your settings, and make sure your receiver is set to the highest strength. If your wireless receiver is detecting the network you want to connect to, check that you have the correct password key, and that you're using the right type of security settings (e.g. WEP, WPA, or WPA2) and check that your key is in the right format.
Remember to make sure you Wireless Card is assigning your IP adress automatically using DHCP.
If you're trying to connect to a BIG network, you may be required to use a specific IP address, and if this is the case, let us know, and I can give you some further details.
Your question is slightly vague, details of OS etc. would help.I will assume that you are using Windows. Sometimes simply re booting everything, including the router, helps.Have you removed any spyware?,this sometimes causes a winsock change. If simply re booting does not solve your problem,re post .with a lot more detail and you will receive more help. good luck!!
