I have had the implant in my arm for just under 1 year and a half. Since I have had them my periods have been very mixed up. At the beginning I got told that my periods will calm down after a few months. But now they are even worse. I usually have a month and a half on, and then 1 week off. They are very painful and sometimes very heavy. Its causing me hell.

Do you recommend I should get it taken out? If yes, What contraception should I use? I used to take the pill, but i kept forgetting to take it.

I'm 17.
