I have made so many cakes from this website, and they turned out quite good.

Here is a recipe I messed up on and added too, it turned out awesome chocolaty goodness...though it is chocolate chip cake...I did not even need frosting O.o

Chocolate Cake 9x9 sqaure

1 cup sugar

2 cups flour (unsifted)

4 tbsps cocoa

2 tsps baking soda

1 cup cold water

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

I used a 2/3 cup by accident for the sugar and flour measurments. Added one egg. One chocolate Pudding cup. 2/3 cup water instead of 1 cup. Semi-sweet Chocolate chips (eye balled it...just enough to have one in every large bite)

Baked around 30 minutes, just check at 20 then do 5 minutes at a time if not done, I used a wooden toothpick to check.

Also for a 'twist' you should try JELLO cake mmmm. Its white cake with powder jello swirled into the batter.

I think the best thing to do is to think of a candy bar, cookie, or something tasty you like then google it with cake next to it. (IE: Oreo cake, Snickers cake, Coconut cake, etc etc etc.)
