okay so for some reason my photoshop doesn't want to work. i try to open it and it crashes my computer meaning i have to reboot it every time. same thing happens when i try to uninstall it (i had to do it manually) and now when i try to install it again. the corel website doesn't have anything for x3 only x4 and x5. any ideas on how i can get it back?
Update:edit: i do still have the installation disc and license key but it also causes my computer to crash about 10 seconds into it.

Is the inside of your computer case full of dust bunnies? If so try vacuuming them all out with the computer off. PSP X3 is a memory hog so any dust over the memory modules may cause issues with overheating.
Removing PSPX3 is way more of a headache than Corel should have let it be. See http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=380... and read the entire thread. There's the offical way, then the official way, then a round about way then an official way, depending on who's posting you read.
Try opening a new user account on your computer (assuming you're running Vista, Win7 or Win8 and not XP). Install PSP X3 on the new account, then see if you can use it on the other accounts, if so you can delete the new account.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but most software makers only provide downloads for supported programs which means usually 2 or 3 years back. This is why it's important for users to buy the disk and it's also why software makers are now trying to get people to download programs or to subscribe to their programs, i.e., to prevent users from holding onto the programs for 10 years like they can if they have a disk.
Corel used to make older programs available but not anymore:-( Amazon is about your only option. Torrents are too dangerous (viruses, etc.)

Additional, too: Hhhmm... This is strange. Did PSP work OK for you before? If so, use System Restore to go back to a time when it worked. Sometimes updates for other programs interfere - although this probably isn't the case because I haven't seen any increase in people with crashing PSP X3s ...but it can't hurt.
Have you upgraded to a newer operating system? What OS are you using?
Is your HD filling up? Are a lot of things using RAM running in the background? Earlier versions of PSP use more resources than X4 and X5 which have been slimmed down and sped up. If you've got less that 25% of the HD free, it's time to back up, delete and defrag. Don't stream music or have other applications open and running while using PSP.
Maybe the RAM has gone bad? It's been known to happen that one of the slots goes belly up.
You can take a look at the Event Log. Note the time (best to use the time in the lower right corner of the computer) and try to launch PSP then go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer (or, for some computers, Administrative Events>Event Adviser). In Windows 7, it will automatically open in Administrative Events. Warning: don't hyperventilate (faint) when you see the list. It will be nothing but a lot of warnings and errors. It looks terrifying on every computer, not just yours:-). Now, find the time you tried to open PSP and click once on that listing. An explanation will appear in the middle of the window. I never understand everything in the explanation but I can get a sense of whether something's going on with the program or with the computer.
