"Knapp said the ordinance does not ban certain breeds of dogs, but is aimed at the behavior of vicious animals. Those animals would have to be deemed “potentially vicious” by an Animal Review Board, consisting of the director of the Department of Public Works and police and fire chiefs, or designates appointed by them.
“The owner would be required to keep it in an enclosed area, put a (warning) sign up and put a dog on a leash,” Knapp said.
The proposed ordinance also requires the owner of a vicious animal to maintain an insurance policy of $1.5 million to cover injuries inflicted by the animal and attend and complete an animal obedience class. Owners cannot possess more than one vicious animal per household.
The owners would be required to notify the Police Department within 24 hours if the animal escapes the premises or the owner's custody ends, or if the animal attacks a human being or other domestic animal. Police also must be notified if the animal is sold or transferred to another person, the animal has died or the animal's residence changes outside the city of Livonia."

And your question is?
Just looked it up. What about it? They aren't targeting breeds, but the actual ACTIONS of individual dogs. http://www.hometownlife.com/article/20091206/NEWS1...

OK, but this is not a question, it's a statement. (I'm in Warren, BTW) I believe there was an article in the Detroit News about this not too long ago.
Care to elaborate?
