Hey, I'm selling something on craigslist, and a guy wants to buy it from me, but he wants to pay using Paypal.
Normally I'd say no in a heartbeat, but this isnt the usualpaypal email I get.
I've spoken with the guy on the phone, and he says he has to pay me using paypal because he has 200 dollars his paypal account from selling things on ebay.
When I asked why he couldnt put it in his bank account and give me cash, he said it's because "when you're married and over 30, you'll understand. If I put money in the bank account, it becomes 'Family' money, and not 'my' money." The guy wants me to come to his house, and he'll pay me via paypal in his living room...
Is it possible to scam me this way?

It's possible, yes. Anyone using paypal can retract the payment claiming the goods were not delivered or the goods were not as advertised. You can reduce the chance of this by telling him to make the payment as a gift instead of as payment for goods or services.
That said, people are mostly good and honest. Give him a chance--after all, you know where he lives. Take pictures of the item in your home, take pictures of the item in HIS home, and report him to the police for theft if the payment gets retracted.
