he wasn't fired, he never turned up for meeting, and then cbs/abc released a statement to say he asked to be released from his contract, so they released him. there's a few people in the running to replace him, some sites are sayting that the leading contender is geena davis. ok didn't see that one coming, others are saying she's down the list. just have to wait and see i suppose
