How do you think he actually excaped?
Update:Yeah, i think the inside shots were looped. It didnt seem right. Maybe he excaped in a tunnel or a vault. There were people on the other side of the building too..though

I think that the first two doors were live. But after they cut to the multi-cam it was a recorded practice run with the exception of the helicopter shot. as soon as the view was split Criss went down, not up. what means he went down aren't clear, it could have been anyway from a rope, to the demolition company leaving one set of stairs up(he only showed us the demolised stairs in the well that he was supposed to go up). On a side note, the camera's probably wouldn't have all shut down at the same time just from the blast. They would have been taken out around the same time as the building fell and crushed them.
It is clear that he wasn't actually in the building when it went down. No human could survive that. and surely they wouldn't have ended up as far away from the rubble as he did.
All in all a wonderful stunt, well planned, I'm sure there were a number of people who thought he died and were relieved he didn't. But honestly, whoever actually believes that he would really risk EVERYTHING for one 'live' stunt is out of their mind.
It could of been pre-taped but here's what I'm thinking. When they had the boxed screen shots, when he was going up the stairwell perhaps the cameras were inverted and he was really going downstairs instead of upstairs. We only saw the first 2 doors and they were on the same floor, we only saw the stairwell in the pre video path. The last shot of him with the roof lock could have just been a door to look like that and turned the camera on its side. There was some time between the camera going out and the building actually imploding. When you set up the explosives you can implode the building in certain directions so he had enough time I think to get away to a safe distance and just get a little dusty. Just an idea.
Definitely fake. First of all, the glass he kicked in off the balcony should've been hurricane proof, but was just replaced for him to do this stunt. Then as he runs to the front door inside the hotel room you can see handcuffs in his right pocket hanging out. But, the next shot as he runs out that door down the hall, the handcuffs aren't there. Showing how obviously some of this was pre-recorded.
I believe when he opened the lock in the hall, the screen cuts and instead of him going upstairs like we thought, he is actually downstairs at this point and makes it out of the building, on the other side not facing the road, before it implodes.
I mean lets face it, he is a human being, no matter how much weird stuff he has managed to do in past tricks - no one can escape from the 9th floor of a building that has just crumbled to the ground because of 450 sticks of dynamite.
I live in this area and work in the media, some of my peers have discovered these things I just listed and I re-watched it myself and it is obviously fake with pre-recorded sections.
The clips from inside the building were obviously pre-shot. When he was getting out of the handcuffs, I was wondering why on earth he was wasting time getting the second cuff off when he could have just gone on with them attached to one hand. Turns out he wasn't wearing the handcuffs in the video from inside, so he had to get them both off so it wouldn't be (more) obvious that the video was shot before. He also somehow managed to walk away from the building with perfect hair and not a scratch on his body, so he must have somehow gone down another staircase or used a rope or something to get down. I have to say, I was really disappointed in this. The show compared him to Houdini, and he performed a stunt that anyone could do with some practice in picking handcuffs and the assistance of a middle school A/V club.
I was there. Criss was on the balcony and handcuffed. Though i agree that the inside film was a practice tape. Because when the dynamite went off he didn't even flinch. But if he had the guts to go in that building and go down. I think he went down the elevator shaft!
I am trying to get more details, but word is WTSP "Tampa Bay's 10" may have some footage of Mr. Angel on street-level during the time the alleged "pre-recorded" footage was taken.
Will follow up if I can find out if they do, or if it makes it online. Which it should.
So for now, it's just a rumor that WTSP "Tampa Bay's 10" has this footage.
It was so fake!!!! Here is what happended. They showed him handcuffed to the balcony, he then broke the glass and moved on. I think it was taped earlier on today and that is what they were showing. He ran outside somewhere and got far away. When the building colappsed he got to where he needed to be. It was really fake though it had to be taped from today when he was inside.
I have mixed feelings about that. I think anyone that was in that building would have died right there and then. I think it may have been fake.
