okay, i have a question about who would get the kids.
if a father had a disablity (turrets, where he lashes out violently at people) and the mother left him, would she get full custody of the kids? because if the court orders that the mother must be presently living with the children to make sure their safe, he wouldnt be able to have custody over them, right?
so the father cheated and the mother is now leaving him and she wants custody of the kids. can she use his disability as an excuse?

If a parent has major medical issues..and all documentations shows that they are not fit to raise children alone, the other parent would get full custody of the children..you would apply for full custody of the children in court..the judge needs to have all documentation about any medical issues pending with the other parent before making any kind of decision. The court may ask for the other parent to have a evaluation to see how serious his disability is.
