Rene Descartes attempted to anser this, i think it was him, when he got rid of all his stuff and went to live in his friends cottage in the woods. he thought and he thought and he thought (in latin i think) and one day the light came on sotospeak and he thought to himself "heregos sum clod" (or something like that because the best way to communicate was in Latin youno).

ummm... he was French and so he translated the Latin into French then what he said in French was translated into English and a bunch of other languages like Dutch and Lithuanion, i think.

yasee he thought that if he was thinking then he must exist!!! very clever eh? AND he said it in a few words so it was easy to remember (not like pouring through the Republic)

smart people all over the world (well, in Europe actuallie) thought his thought was very profound and said that he said "i think therefore i am" which isn't accurate but close (if you speak latin).

Sorry, that's no "deep philosophical question". Learn a little bit about the nature of dreams and their neurological explanation. They're just little films our brain plays while we're asleep. You can tell them from reality by noticing that reality makes much more sense. Dummy's way for the confused person.

And nobody knows what's outside of the universe. We can't even observe what's farther than 13.7 billion light years from the Earth, because it would take more than the age of the universe for that information to reach us. It's a theoretical limit. The "observable universe" is probably a tiny little fraction of all of it. The only way for us to find out what's beyond it would be to travel ad infinitum to a given point in space, which is, mind you, absolutely impossible.

That's an interesting question. I guess this could all be a dream. I think this is reality, but not the only reality. I think Earth is one among many inhabited planets. I also believe that there is an unseen spiritual realm co-existing beyond our dimension. There are so many things about the universe; life, itself of which we are ignorant.

Dreams are caused by spirits for various reasons. Dreams are part of their games which they play with other spirits. In fact we are just toys of the spirits and everliving beings. We human beings think from the state what they are. Even some people ask funny questions like "Who created God?". The world and all what you see are created by everliving or ever existing beings. They know not death or end. In fact this is reality and ever existing natural phenomena.

Your question is very attractive, I feel similar often... what we are seeing and what we are calling reality maybe is not exactly the reality, we people think our self very simple sometimes, but we are not....

Maybe we born from mother's womb but we origin from something marvelous, from a portion of this Universe, which is full of wonder and mysteries! We are a part of it, and our Mind is the direct connected portion with Universe, we are maybe completely opposite of what we think about us... we are a part of enormous Universe standing on a cosmic dust, driven by the atom like Solar system.

Here in this Cosmic ocean everything is miracle including us, we just need to discover it.
