An app that locks everything including music, apps and anything until placing the password. A kind of app that can control the timing when it will lock and blocking everything in the laptop.
No timer except sleep and screen saver. The system must be idle for X number of minutes to activate sleep or screen saver. You cannot set a timer that will pull the rug from under someone as they are typing on the computer. That wouldn't make sense, anyhow. If you let someone use your computer for 10 minutes, they can get all your stuff. What would be the point of cutting them off after that?
You can set the OS X system to require a password when waking from sleep or exiting screen saver.
... and just which OS version is this?
You ask this question as if the hardware is in control, but it is the OS, not the MacBook Pro that is in control.
There is a way to put a lock on starting the computer hardware, but it is notorious for causing people to consider suicide when they forget their password. That is because you cannot even reinstall the OS or even erase the drive with that lock if you forget the password.
