I am currently a Resident Advisor, involved with my campus' television-network, am a peer instructor for a psychology class and am going to be an Orientation Counselor in the summer. I work at the espresso carts on campus (for extra money) and am going to study abroad and work as a campus senator (hopefully) next year.
There are SO many ways to get involved in college. I feel like the extracurricular activities MAKE college. It's all the groups out on the main walkways/malls asking for everyone to sign petitions or play games. They are the ones that put on crazy events and bring bands to the campus (like the student entertainment boards, senate, etc.)...
Get involved and you'll get so much more out of your college experience!
Only if you count drinking and going to parties, or spending a great deal of time and money in the game room working on improving my skills at Asteroids or Moon Patrol (early 1980's). I did try to form an intramural softball team in my dorm, but it was pretty much a failure and I had to find random people on campus to have enough to field a team. I played in one intramural basketball game for my hall because they didn't have enough players, and it was pretty sad, becuase I suck at basketball and I'm short.
