Disable my computer temporarily?
Hello all...
My brother is a computer freak and watch movies all the tyme ignoring his studies.
Is there any way i can disable his computer temporarily. I just want that it stops working for a week or so and than i can fix it again. I need something that could be done very quickly and could not be detected.
and secondly is there any single file that i delete from the windows directory so that the OS corrupts
or i detach a single piece of hardware from the computer which stops the computer from working.
The computer is a dell desktop.

Disable the hard disk as a startup device in the bios
Just remove the memory from the MOBO, it'll save the hassle of re-installing everything if you corrupt Windows. If he is a comp-nerd then it won't take long for him to work out, but that's the time that he should be told that studies come first.
Your question is illegal as it involves stopping another persons machine without their consent, or worse in the event of deleting a system file, totally trashing the system. people go to prison for this. Even if it is a family member, which I see no evidence for, only your word. Meaning anyone answering this would also be at risk of prosecution. And you probably would not understand if anyone told you, being stupid enough to publicly declare your illegal intent on a site monitored by every government and police agency, and which stores al your details for years.
