Dividing a Trapezoid into Two Equal Parts?
So, I was taking a practice ACT exam and was met with a question that asked me to divide a trapezoid into two parts of equal area using a line perpendicular to the x-axis (i.e. x = 5). How would I go about doing this using a formula?

Because you don't show the position of the trapezoid on the xy-plane .
For example , are the two bases of the trapezoid parallel to the x-axis ?
Or parallel to the y-axis ? Or slanted ?
