I'm a Shia Muslim and I hate it. Actually, that's the reason why our people don't give a hoot about these laws and live good lives. If we were to conform to these stupid laws like Sunnis, then our lives would suck. Shia Muslims are the open-minded Muslims!
as'salamu alaikum, Just a friendly advise - the arabic term sharia means law. Therefore, 'Sharia law' would mean Law Law. It should be said as Islamic Law or Islamic Shariah. Anyway, most of the criminal laws in Islam can be found in Torah (part of OT). Some of the punishments have been reduced in Islam from the laws of Torah and some remained same. Now when some one commits a crime, he should get a punishment according to the level of crime he commited. The brutal the crime is, the more 'gruesome' the punishement should be. Now in stead of questioning the brutality of the punishment, we should be asking people more not to commit those crimes. Giving less punishment that due will not decrease the number of offensive actions in humanity. In answer to your first question, yes I accept Islamic law. For the second question, yes, I would love to live under Islamic law. And for the last question, I will ask Allah to forgive his/her sin and will advise my loved one not to commit the crime again. Thanks Q
Allah is the Source of Power and Might, He created us with limitations. Whenever we exceed or go beyond those limitations, then we're faced with either the threat of or actual punishment. We find those laws that help remind us about our limits in the signs of nature. So it seems like a mercy for anyone with faith to accept the limits associated with faith. Allah revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad (sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and commanded him to teach it to the people, which he did. When we pray we find the command to do so from Allah, but it's details are from His Messenger (sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam). It is part of the division that affect the Muslims worldwide how many have adopted culture over Deen and try to pass it off as from Islam. There's nothing from Islam that states that for the thief, jail them for a term and then freee them and if they do it again just add more time.

Yes, and they want to impose on the world, that is their ultimate aim.
