Compared to NOT consuming them in the traditional vehicle (which is soda), they do have elevated risk. They have lower risk, though, than consuming sugar-sweetened beverages. It is definitely not a causal relationship that we know of (yet), but it seems prudent to cut risk wherever you can.
I should point out that consumption of diet soda and high intake of artificial sweeteners is likely to correlate strongly with poor dietary quality (i.e. high consumption of processed food and/or refined starches and sugar), so it could be considered a marker of quality of one's nutrition.
Actually yes, for some of them and depends on how often you take them. Some of the artifical sweeteners may also affect your body in general since it is, artificial. Why dont you take fresh foods or foods that you can find that have less or no preservatives, they will be the answer to cravings and also be healthy for you. Goodluck!
I think so. The behavior of regularly drinking diet coke corresponds to the behavior of regularly eating high sugar foods instead of whole grains and vegetables.
