No, anyone with half a brain wouldn't support such an idea..... It is NOT the national language. There are 372 languages spoken in the U.S. 147 are language or signs of the Native Indians. Of the rest, 82% speak English but many use a different language in the home or in their social circles. Of the remaining percentage, 10% speak Spanish.

English is only number 3 in the world. The first is Cantonese, the second is Spanish and then comes English.

I think American should LEARN a second language - either Spanish or French. We are one of the very few countries in the world that doesn't require a second language.
