While it is important that the GOP makes a better showing amongst lation and single women voters, the most crucial element is that WHITE men actually vote for the GOP. They cannot win without their own base turning out. 12 million white people disappeared at the polls from last election to this one. THOSE were the votes that Romney needed and didnt get.
So, when are ya gonna remind us that he's black?
Your pre-election delusional behavior is only toppled by your post delusional behavior.
They could have but want. The right of the party has taken over. Big turn off to moderate voters. Now you have talk about secession . Another big turn off.
If Republicans put up a group of 10 candidates like this time around, the Dems are a lock for another 4 years. LOL. Imagine Santorum or Cain , Gingrich, winning the presidency.
The only candidates that are electable in the GOP are centrist Eastern Republicans like Christie, Bloomberg, Guiliani

Nice table. What happened between 2008 and 2009?
To answer your question, if unemployment is under 6.5%, Dems keep the house in 2016. If it is over 6.5%, and the GOP can find a candidate that doesn't make people's skin crawl and can get through an election cycle without making moronic but heartfelt statements, GOP has a 50-50 shot.
The Republicans will likely win, but it also depends if the GOP can reach out to Hispanics and other minority groups.
