Her tittes are growing again and have been for a while but im embarrassed to admit im confused.
she as just run off after a kid knocked for for a neighbor and because no one answers he let my dog out. Im now unsure whether she is in middle of yet another phantom pregnancy or whether she is on heat and just been caught on.
she as come back even more showing at her back end , like i said im embarrassed that i don't know, and if she's caught on we will let her keep them and do the right thing. Im in the middle of booking a holiday and need to be at home if she is with pups,

I don't understand why she wasn't spayed at 6 months of age. This would not have happened if she had of been spayed. You dog is just a pet & not a show dog, she should have been spayed long before now. But it is not too late. just wait until the swelling goes down after her cycle & take her in for a spay/abort & that will take care of everything.
I have NO idea what you mean by "pertude"
no one can accurately determine pregnancy before roughly a month then I would bet on a vet or an experienced breeder seeing the dog personally over a description on the net
teats swell slightly during heat and the dog bleeds off (it will lighten and may stop during the fertile part of the period) they should NOT bleed during pregnancy and teats get larger than heat (also during false pregnancy)
You can have her spayed even if she was bred when she got out.
Any dog that has a history of reproductive problems (phantom pregnancies) shouldn't be bred to begin with.
Spay her ... problem solved for now and saves her from future problems with phantom pregnancies and the like.
Doing the RIGHT thing is having her spayed now and not allowing her to carry on with a pregnancy and risk her life.
To the response owner brigade, we actually would like her to maybe experience motherhood and since she was a pup (now 4 ) we have had umpteen requests to breed her but i don't want to cash in on my friend.
who are we to interfere anyway with nature, its an hard one for me. She as such a mothering instinct which shows when she sleeps with rabbits and hamsters etc.
thanks anyway for not answering my question
If you get her spayed that will be the end of pregnancies, phantom or not. Easy solution.
Get a gravid spay problem solved.
Be a responsible owner and take her to the vet to get speyed.
