I know that my grandmother started her periods at 11 and went into menopause at 39, my aunt started her periods at 16 and went into menopause at 40, but my mother started her periods at 11 and went into menopause at 52, so I am not sure it really matters. I think that every woman is different and has a certain amount of eggs she is born with and that is more what determines when she will go into menopause.
I think it's actually the opposite. Every woman's egg count is different but girls who start early usually have way more eggs than average and so finish later to than average too. And visa versa for late bloomers. My grandma started at 18 and finished at 32!!
