I'm near to graduating from paralegal school in Atlanta w/ excellent grades. I have a B. A. in English from a top school. However, due to injuries from when I was a cocktail waitress, I have had to support my self as an exotic entertainer, as this was the only job that would let me take off if my injuries flared up. (I had been a successful sales rep prior to this, but was burned out on that job.}
If the top, better-paying firms require an IRS background check, it will definitely come up that I've been an entertainer for the past eight years, and I'm afraid they won't accept or care about my reasons for doing it.
Do top, large firms do this IRS job record search? If so, will my legitimate reasons for dancing count or am I forever prevented from working at the big Atlanta law firms?
PLEASE HELP!!

NO THEY DO NOT.
Some do credit checks but that stuff does not appear.
The only companies that do these big background checks are for those people that need top security clearance.
